Segal, Jon Kabat-Zinn Another reviewer mentioned that this should be titled "The Mindful Way through Negative Thinking" and I'd have to agree. I couldn't read this until I was past my latest bout with depression. And the book points out that this is so - they don't recommend reading it when you're really stuck.

Once I was able to read it, I found it very easy to put into practice. The accompanying CD is very useful.
